Your Opportunity: 

Are you passionate about mining engineering and IT? Do you have a knack for problem-solving and a desire to work with cutting-edge mine planning software? Boliden is looking for a talented individual to join our team and help us enhance our digital capabilities. This is your chance to make a significant impact on our operations and support our mining teams across all Boliden sites. You will be based at our Boliden Office, with occasional travel to our various sites. 

Who You Will Work With: 

You will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including IT specialists, geologists, engineers, and other team members. Your role will also involve working closely with software consultancy companies to maximize their product offerings. Building strong relationships and effective communication will be key as you support our mining teams in their daily routines and software-related challenges. 

What You Will Do: 

• Develop and enhance the usage of Mine Planning Software at Boliden. 

• Collaborate with IT, geologists, engineers, and other team members to design and implement mining software systems.  

• Work with software consultancy companies to maximize their product offerings. 

• Perform programming and scripting tasks. 

• Manage Deswik. MDM and work with other database-linked systems. 

• Manage test environments, licensing, and user access. 

• Provide support to Mining Teams in their daily routines and software-related challenges.  

What You Bring: 

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering. 

• Over 3 years of proven experience in mining engineering. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong interest in the IT side of things. 

• Programming skills in Visual Basic. 

• Basic SQL knowledge is a benefit. 

• Scripting proficiency. 

• Familiarity with mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Haulsim, Ventsim, SIC). 

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 

• Proficiency in English, with Swedish being advantageous. 

• A Category B driving license. 

• Understanding of mining operations is crucial for this role. Experience with the mentioned systems is highly desirable. 

• The role involves supporting all Boliden mines, making communication and relationship-building essential. Travel to our sites will be required, but you will be based at the Boliden Office.
