Your opportunity: 

 

Are you a structured and people-oriented person with problem-solving skills? Join our Group Procurement team as a Sourcing Manager within IT procurement. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact by controlling costs, maximizing supplier value, and managing supply risks within the IT domain. You’ll be at the forefront of Boliden’s IT sourcing process, ensuring our procurement services meet the highest standards. Location is Boliden or Stockholm in Sweden, or any of our other sites as per agreement. Traveling is part of the role.  

 

Who you will work with: 

 

As Sourcing manager IT, you’ll be part of our Group Procurement team and report to the Head of Category Management. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders who rely on IT products and services provided by our procurement organization. You’ll also work hand-in-hand with Category Managers and other procurement colleagues. Externally, you’ll interact with IT suppliers, consultants, and service providers. 

 

What you will do: 

• Execute IT sourcing initiatives across subcategories such as Software, Hardware, Consulting Services, Production IT, and Telecom and deliver annual savings 

• Manage and negotiate IT contracts, optimize commercial terms, legal conditions, and data processing aspects of agreements, ensuring they meet all specifications. 

• Establish and maintain a governance model for key IT suppliers 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the IT domain 

• Spend analytics 

• Develop cooperation with tactical procurement team 

• Contribute to the formulation and execution of IT category strategies 

• Serve as a main point of contact for IT inquiries 

• Support the Group IT Category Manager on larger sourcing projects 

• Report on IT-related procurement activities 

• Perform other IT procurement-related tasks as needed 

• Contribute to overall sustainability targets 

 

What you bring: 

• An academic degree or several years of relevant work experience 

• Experience in strategic sourcing, preferably from a role in IT procurement  

• Excellent communication skills in English and at least one local language (Swedish or Finnish) 

• Interpersonal- and negotiation skills  

• A self-driven attitude and the ability to learn quickly  

• A category B driving license
