About the Opportunity:
Join our 5G Baseband system management team, where you'll drive innovation in a collaborative environment that nurtures your skills in Data Analysis and Radio Resource Management.We focus on leveraging analytics to optimize Radio Resource Management (RRM), physical layer and Advanced Antenna System (AAS). We also engage in 3GPP standardization, develop and use simulators to optimize the control functions and signal processing algorithms, develop baseband architectures, collect and analyze data from customer networks and perform troubleshooting.
We're seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in Lund, someone with a strong interest in data analytics and a readiness to learn telecom processes like RRM, plysical layer, and AAS. You'll assist in algorithm design and solutions development, gaining invaluable experience in machine learning and data-driven network optimization.This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team at the forefront of integrating analytics with telecom innovations!
What you will do:
• Participate in system studies during the early phases of product development for 5G & 6G, focusing on data analysis within Radio Resource Management
• Assist in developing software simulations for performance analysis of 5G & 6G features and algorithms, utilizing link and network-level simulations alongside AI tools to extract valuable data insights
• Support the development of novel RAN algorithms, focusing on RRM, with opportunities to incorporate AI and ML methodologies
• Engage in securing Radio Network characteristics through active involvement in the software product development and testing process, emphasizing data collection and analysis
• Help deploy new 5G & 6G products and features into customer networks, addressing Customer Service Requests and performing system-level Trouble Report analysis with a data-focused approach
• Collaborate on new features, simulations, and improvements with cross-functional development teams both locally in Lund and globally across Sweden (Kista, Linköping), Canada (Ottawa), China and Poland using data analysis to inform design decisions.
Skills you bring:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering / Engineering Physics / Wireless communication systems / AI or equivalent
• Strong foundation in communications theory and digital signal processing
• Familiarity with data analytics techniques, with experience in applying them to complex real-time problems
• Experience in software development, including languages such as Java, C, C++, and Python
• Knowledge of Radio Access technologies, especially in areas like Radio Resource Management, Antenna Systems, and Radio Product Design
• Ability to work with both short-term and long-term objectives, balancing the big picture with implementation details.
• Self-motivated, driven, and proactive with strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills to convey solutions and influence diverse stakeholders
