About the Opportunity:

Step into the future with Baseband Infrastructure (BBI), where innovation meets excellence and technology knows no boundaries.At Baseband Infrastructure (BBI), we deliver a state-of-the-art Operating System (OS) and Software Development Kit (SDK) to Ericsson software developers creating high-performance System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for RAN products.

LPP, our Lightweight Processing Platform, is the core OS for 4G/5G/Next-G baseband Digital Signal Processing powered by a Many-core platform in BBI.We are seeking a motivated developer to join the LPP team based in Stockholm. You will be responsible for new LPP features study / design / implementation, and maintain existing features (E.g., new chipsets studies, boot loader/script, timer server, memory management, thread scheduler, crash dump analysis, colossus drivers, real time trace, CDA module etc.) You will be working closely with the Hardware, Baseband, and Radio Software teams on cross-functional projects.This role involves troubleshooting, technical investigations and customer support, offering a dynamic opportunity at the intersection of software development and system-level problem solving.

What you will do

•    Join an agile development team dedicated to advancing the Lightweight Processing Platform (LPP)

•    Engage in all phases of LPP development, including requirement analysis, systemization, prototyping, design, testing, integration, troubleshooting, and deployment

•    Enhance LPP quality by implementing diverse continuous integration projects in Jenkins, such as the CDA test framework, daily smoke Atest, and LPP SQR tests

•    Collaborate effectively with team members, other BBI design teams, and BBI users globally, providing support to external users including Baseband and Radio developers

•    Commit to continuous learning and application of new technologies relevant to BBI, such as cloud computing, secure coding, and AI/ML (including GenAI)

Skills you bring:

•    Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field

•    Proven experience in embedded real-time software development, with strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, particularly in multi-process/multi-threaded application development

•    Solid python programming skills

•    Strong understanding of many-core computer architectures and real-time systems

•    Knowledge in Digital Signal Processing theory, applications, and familiarity with 3GPP standards

•    Experience working in a continuous integration (CI) environment, with tools such as Jenkins or similar

•    Familiarity with Agile methodologies and enthusiasm for working in an agile organization

•    Excellent communication skills in English

•    Collaborative, open, and innovative mindset

Preferred skills:

•    Experience with many core platforms or parallel programming, as well as baseband/radio application software development

•    Good programming skills in multi-core platform assembly

•    Troubleshooting skills, including both post-mortem and runtime debugging

•    Proficiency in performance analysis of embedded computing systems
