About this opportunity:

Ericsson developed ASICs are the backbone of our Baseband and our Radio network products, and our challenge is to validate and deliver those so that our 5G and 6G leadership position in the market accelerates. 

Are you a strong technical lead ready to make an impact? Join our global and dedicated IC Validation team within the Silicon Productization Engineering division. We’re looking for an ASIC validation technical lead with strong technical background and leading expertise. 

What you will do:

•    Work closely with the stakeholders to ensure the ASIC validation activities are well planned and executed

•    Lead teams and/or technical areas and validate high-quality and high-performance IC products to meet rigorous standards

•    Drive the ASIC validation platform development, including both validation HW board development and validation SW framework

•    Guide and support team members with technical and leadership expertise

•    Organize/drive the task force /Lead the technical investigation for electrical and functional validation of ASIC

•    Coordinate the activities across the entire ASIC life cycle, pre-silicon, bring up, validation, system debug and maintenance

•    Lead the technical discussions with other stakeholders, like project manager, ASIC architect, TLV, IP/Subsystem programs, including the Radio and RAN Compute HW and SW teams

•    Support the ASIC validation lab development, instrument planning 

•    Coordinate the collaborations within global ASIC validation team

The skills you bring:

•    Extensive experience with at least 10 years in electrical validation and component-level functional verification, with strong hands-on expertise in lab setups and equipment.

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.

•    Deep knowledge of ASICs, FPGAs, and hardware test setups, with proven ability to design and troubleshoot complex validation processes.

•    Hard-on experience and deep understanding of developing hardware systems based on complex ASICs.

•    Technical expertise in the technical areas, like SERDES, Ethernet, PCIe, CPRI, DDR, Power, Clock, I3C, etc. 

•    Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Matlab, and good knowledge of programming languages like C and C++.

•    Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting validation data, diagnosing issues, and deriving actionable insights to enhance product quality and performance.

•    Self-driven, proven record of coaching and leading others 

•    Proven technical leadership and a strong track record of cross-team and cross-site cooperation in delivering high-quality outcomes 

•    Strong communication and presentation skills with both written and spoken English

Strong plus:

•    Knowledge of Ericsson ASIC architecture, functionalities

•    Experience of design, verification and validation of Ericsson ASIC

•    Experience with Ericsson Radio or RAN-Compute HW product development and validation
