We are looking for newly graduated software engineers to join our Baseband Software L1 Development team in Kista. At Ericsson, you’ll step into an exciting environment where innovation, collaboration, and growth go hand in hand. You’ll be working with state-of-the-art technologies, shaping the physical layer software that powers our world-leading 5G Radio Access Network—and soon, 6G.

What you will do

As a member of the L1 team, you will be part of developing the Physical Layer (L1) components of Ericsson’s Baseband software—core building blocks of our world-leading 5G RAN and future 6G solutions.

What You'll do :

•    Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and maintain core software components, supporting the full development lifecycle from initial study to verification.

•    Enhance existing features and develop new ones, with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability—leveraging Ericsson’s evolving Multi-Core Architecture Platform.

•    Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.

•    Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure seamless operation.

•    Get hands-on experience with real products and projects, applying your academic knowledge in a meaningful, challenging context.

•    Learn industry best practices, agile ways of working, and state-of-the-art development environments applying new knowledge to improve product innovation.

Skills you bring: 

•    A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Wireless Communications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

•    Strong foundation in embedded systems, real-time software, and C/C++ programming.

•    A collaborative mindset, eagerness to learn, and the courage to take initiative and ownership.

•    A passion for technology, innovation, and making a real impact.

•    Curiosity and resilience to tackle complex problems—and a willingness to grow through challenges.

•    Familiarity with Wireless communication technologies (4G/5G), 3GPP/ORAN standards, and/or signal processing is a strong plus.

•    Experience with real-time operating systems, multi-core architectures, or DSP programming is very good to have.
