About this opportunity:

As a CAD Tool Administrator & Developer, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the use of our CAD tools. You will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and developing features to optimize our CAD systems, ensuring smooth integration into engineering workflows. This role will give you exposure to both the technical aspects of CAD tools and the opportunity to collaborate with engineers across multiple departments and tool suppliers.

 

What you will do:

•    Administer and maintain our CAD tools, including troubleshooting issues, updating software, and ensuring that all users have the appropriate access and permissions.

•    Develop and implement custom scripts and automation processes to enhance CAD tool functionality and improve workflow efficiency.

•    Provide technical support and training to engineering teams on the effective use of CAD tools.

•    Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for tool optimization and workflow improvements.

•    Monitor and resolve system performance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

•    Contribute to the integration of CAD tools with other engineering software, including PLM and ERP systems.

 

The skills you bring:

•    A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

•    Familiarity with CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) and their administration.

•    Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA, or JavaScript) to develop custom solutions and automation.

•    Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

•    Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

•    A keen interest in software development, systems administration, and engineering technologies.

•    Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Experience with CAD system administration, especially in an engineering environment.

•    Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or ERP systems.

•    Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git).

•    Understanding of database management and SQL.
