About this opportunity

The CX Network Solutions unit in Kista is looking for talented and motivated engineers that want to be part of a collaborative, diverse, and high-performance team dealing with disruptive technology. Besides collaborating with the local team, you will also interact and collaborate with colleagues around the world. Our team is front-runner in the technology areas of 5G, dedicated networks, mission critical networks, time critical communications, network slicing, cloud RAN, to name a few.

With us, you will grow mobile network competences across radio access, transport network, as well as packet core and cloud network infrastructure and applications, thereby supporting advanced use cases and satisfying the needs of our mobile operator customers and their industry partners. We would like to strengthen our test management capabilities. As a test manager in CX Network Solutions, you are responsible of securing the required solution test coverage and test environment within the given cost and timelines and with quality.

This is a challenging task requiring the successful candidate to balance competing requirements from the different network solution activities and gain consensus on test strategy.

What you will do:

In this role, you will work with a wide network of different Programs developing diverse network solutions, and with colleagues from system management, network design, and verification. Interaction with other units outside Network Solutions are expected and wanted.

• Support definition and optimization of test strategy and test methodology for existing and upcoming solution areas with the goal of improving overall test efficiency in the organization
• Support the deployment of and adherence to the defined test strategies
• Support definition of detailed test scope for the solution areas and secure its fulfillment
• Secure availability of test environments and provide support during the equipment forecast activities
• Interact with test and system management colleagues in the BNEW and RCE organizations
• Grow your competences in the technical domain and share your knowledge with others

The skills you bring:

• An academic degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science
• Work experience in the industry (5+ years in similar roles, preferred 10+ years)
• Diverse set of technology knowledge in (some of) following areas:
• 3GPP technologies (4G/5G), ideally including radio access (LTE/NR) and packet core
• Virtualization and cloud native technologies, including Open-source initiatives
• IP and networking
• Operation and maintenance
• Orchestration
• Effective communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English
• Motivation and ability to interact and collaborate with diverse and remote teams
• Being self-driven and having a solution-oriented attitude are key for success
