About this opportunity:

Ericsson is the global leader in bringing new mobile communication technology to market. We are now looking for a dedicated and skilled System Designer with a passion for inventing, realizing and evaluating new Radio Access Network (RAN) concepts.

Technology Testbeds belongs to Standards & Technology, a unit within our Business Area Networks, that focuses on technology strategy, innovation, and evolution of Ericsson's Radio Access Network. Technology Testbeds builds RAN prototypes to test state-of-the-art technologies and concepts in practice before they are turned into products, which requires us to be fast, lightweight, and curious. The testbed approach has been successful when introducing new G's to the world from 3G to 5G. Now the target is 6G.

You will work in the 6G Testbed project RAN Application team, focusing on implementing parallel and distributed computing with real-time constraints. There may be opportunities to work with external partners.

What you will do:

• Write and read code together with a team covering the RAN stack from the radio interface via L1, L2 to L3
• Efficiently realize algorithms and procedures with focus on optimization, parallelism and real-time
• Own your build, design, test and CI environment together with the team
• Be expected to quickly learn new technologies and adapt rapidly to changing requirements
• Integrate and support the team's applications in the system and in field
• Invent and employ new ideas

The skills you bring:

• Experience in working with embedded software and C/C++ programming languages.
• Solid experience with SW design for 3GPP physical layer processing
• A profound belief in using code to tackle problems
• An approach to SW development using clean code, unit/module/automated system test and continuous integration to collaborate and share code
• Collaboration, sharing knowledge and communicate in the best way possible
• Quality focus and problem-solving
• System thinking and a large portion of curiosity
