About this opportunity:

Want to further your career with Packet Core in Göteborg? We develop the core network for 5G and beyond. Our multi-site department consist of very committed developers with the mission to build the world’s best telecom products. Our teams are autonomous and self-empowered.

A team consists of 6 team members (5 dedicated designers and 1 Team System Tester) with expertise in SW development, continuous integration, and test. Our office is located in the scenic and vibrant Lindholmen area in the central parts of Göteborg.

We are looking to recruit a Team System Tester to one of our teams.

What you will do:

• Develop and execute test procedures to identify issues, validate fixes and ensure that the software meet the required specifications and requirements.
• Continuously improve the testing process by seeing opportunities to optimize testing activities, including automation and scripting.
• Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures, results, and any issues encountered during testing.
• Identify, document, and report bugs and defects, working closely with your team to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide actionable recommendations for software improvements based on test findings, contributing to the continuous enhancement of the service.
• Prepare and secure the test environment.

The skills you bring: 

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Shown experience in testing packet core equipment, preferably the PCG.
• A sense of urgency and understanding for what is included in a job well done.
• An inquisitive approach and a strong problem-solving demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Understanding of system/network architecture and design principles, including TCP/IP and routing protocols.
• Experience working with Java/Gherkin, Python or similar
