Ericsson is looking for an energetic, dedicated, and experienced ASIC Quality Engineer. You will work closely with internal and external engineering functions globally to define, implement, and monitor quality requirements, identifying and addressing potential issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. As the ASIC Quality Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the ASIC development and manufacturing process. By ensuring the final ASIC meets our stringent quality and reliability standards, we will solidify our position as a global leader in the industry.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with internal teams to define, communicate, and ensure adherence to defined quality requirements.
- Work closely with ASIC partners to monitor compliance with quality standards, identify potential issues, and drive ASIC Corrective Actions/Preventative Actions, 8D teams and related activities.
- Analyze manufacturing data, field data, and customer returns to identify trends and quality problems.
- Present findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, generating comprehensive reports on ASIC quality metrics.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency, defect detection, and overall ASIC quality.
- Secure and establish quality improvement forums together with ASIC partners and the product side to maintain effective communication.
- Collaborate with reliability engineers to assess ASIC reliability for new technologies and manufacturing processes.
The skills you bring:
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience with ASIC Quality Assurance.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in quality assurance methodologies, including defect prevention, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Knowledge of ASIC failure analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of industry quality standards (e.g., JEDEC, IPC).
- Strong understanding of ASIC design, manufacturing, and testing processes.
- Experience in working closely with product engineering teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Shown success in working across geographies and multi-functional teams.
- Self-starter, strong collaborator, and able to independently drive tasks to completion, drive highly ambiguous tasks.
