About this opportunity:
Are you passionate about leading a global operation to enhance security and privacy in the telecom industry? We are seeking a dynamic Head of Customer and Solution Security to lead Ericsson's globally distributed Customer Security operation and oversee the implementation of security and privacy by design efforts across the Market Areas. This pivotal role focuses on strengthening Ericsson's ability to develop, sell, and deliver solutions that meet our customers' security and privacy needs efficiently and effectively.
What you will do:
- Leadership and Strategic Guidance: Lead a global team of security experts, providing strategic guidance and oversight. Work together with the Global Customer Units (GCUs) and Customer Units (CUs) to appoint Customer Security Directors based on specific requirements. Continuously develop and manage a high-performing global operation of Customer Security.
- Customer Engagement: Ensure our customers' security and privacy concerns are identified, understood, acknowledged, and effectively addressed. Participate in key sales, marketing, and industry events to monitor trends, contribute to thought leadership, and build trust with customers.
- Security and Privacy by Design: Drive the implementation of security and privacy by design approaches across market areas, ensuring that our solutions adhere to the highest standards from inception through delivery.
- Point of Escalation: Act as the first point of escalation for any customer and solution security or privacy questions arising from the market areas, providing timely and effective resolution strategies by working together with the rest of GFTL Product Security and Business Areas.
- Competence Development: Lead strategic approaches to implementing an effective security and privacy competence development program across the Market Areas, following the Ericsson Security Masters & Champions model.
- Governance and Strategic Goals: Establish a continuous governance structure to follow up on the strategic goals set for each Market Area's solution security operations.
- Exemption and Escalation Processes: Oversee exemption processes and related escalation mechanisms to address and lift up issues arising in the Market Areas.
- Collaboration and Initiative Development: Collaborate with Ericsson leadership to develop strategic security initiatives informed by customer input, contributing to improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of Ericsson’s security posture in solutions and secure delivery.

- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic security initiatives across the organization.
- Integrity and Innovation: High integrity and reliability combined with a forward-thinking approach to security and privacy challenges, fostering innovation and adaptability.
- Strategic Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Organizational Acumen: Deep understanding of Ericsson's business processes, organizational dynamics, and culture, with an ability to navigate and align complex structures.
- Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in the telecom industry, with a proven track record in product security, privacy, and cybersecurity.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced understanding of telecom solution security, including Service-Based Architecture, Core and RAN interfaces, distributed cloud solutions, and XaaS models.
- Thought Leadership: Strong documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both verbal and written, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.
- Educational Background: Master of Science degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including leadership roles.
- Visionary Approach: Ability to drive the implementation of security and privacy by design principles and establish governance structures to achieve strategic objectives.
Note: Security clearance including references and relevant background screening will be conducted for final candidates.
